The multi award-winning team behind Mutasian Entertainment LLC, (www.mutasia.com) will be autographing books at Dixie Canyon Elementary School in Sherman Oaks on April 21st, and presenting to the children a very special interactive Mutasia event, on the heels of the company’s showcase at the 20th Annual Los Angeles Times Festival of Books on April 18th and 19th, 2015 on the USC campus.
Attending the ‘Dixie Canyon Interactive Author Day’ will be Mutasia’s co-founder and chief creative officer Tami Cotsakos; co-founder, author and actor Suzanne Cotsakos; Mutasia’s vice president of art and design, Ryan McCulloch, and chief operations officer Brigitte VanBaelen; as well as all the characters from the land of Mutasia that inspire the child in all of us.
During the 45min presentation the children will be able to hear Suzanne Cotsakos, author and the voice of Figley, reading from Mutasia’s children’s books. She will be joined by illustrator and voice of Chadwick Ryan McCulloch, who will be sharing Mutasian character drawing tips and fun educational activities based on his illustrations from Mutasia’s award-winning titles.
“Tami, Ryan, Brigitte and I are so excited to be presenting Mutasia at Dixie Canyon Elementary School.” said Suzanne. “We love sharing our books, and its characters, with schools around the country. I will be reading from ‘Figley’s New Favorite Food,’ in the voice of Figley himself, and Ryan will be showing the children some of his drawing techniques and sketching secrets, that will help all the budding artists in the room!”
Mutasia is a land where everyone is a mix of two or more different animals. The inhabitants of the island are the most illogical and utterly impossible creatures you will ever meet. Throughout Mutasia’s exciting and humorous multimedia content, the unique characters encourage children to embrace individuality, accept differences and inspire them to try new things.
In addition to books, music, animation and plush toys, the team at Mutasian Entertainment has developed educational lesson plans for teachers, bookmarks, stickers, and coloring book mobile apps.
As a collective, the Mutasian Entertainment family is committed to continuously creating a fun-filled environment that encourages children to read and appreciate the world around them. The talented and dedicated team of educators, illustrators, authors, musicians, designers, and entrepreneurs have joined together to share Mutasia, the land of illogical and utterly impossible critters.
